Volunteer of the Year Award
Benjamin Graham Distinguished Service Award
This award honors a respected and distinguished NYSSA volunteer who has demonstrated extraordinary service and continuing devotion to the Society and who has shown continued dedication to achieve NYSSA’s goals especially in the past calendar year.
This award honors unusual dedicated voluntary service to NYSSA marked by outstanding performance, demonstrated effective leadership, prolonged and committed service, devotion, and enthusiasm. Established in 2011, this award honors the contributions of Benjamin Graham, one of NYSSA’s founders and the “father of securities analysis.” This award is presented to a NYSSA volunteer who has served the Society for at least ten years in one or more of the following areas: Volunteer Leadership, Program Development, or Membership Growth.
Irving Kahn Lifetime Achievement Award
This new award is presented to a member of the investment profession who has made distinctive contributions to the industry and whose exemplary achievement, excellence of practice, and true leadership have elevated the integrity and competence of the profession. This award was established in 2011 to honor the enduring contributions of Irving Kahn, one of NYSSA’s founders and the first recipient of the award.
Young Investment Professional Award
This award recognizes an outstanding early career professional who actively involves himself/herself in the profession, investment communities, and the work of NYSSA. The award is presented to a NYSSA member/volunteer who has been in the investment field for less than ten years. (NYSSA membership is required.)
