Young Leaders Interest Group

Chair: Atit Amin
Vice Chair: Jared Lou

Are you a young finance professional in the greater NYC area? Have you either attained your charter recently or are in the process of completing the curriculum? Thinking about joining NYSSA or have done so and not sure how to get involved? If you answered yes to any of the preceding questions, we have just the community for you. As of November, NYSSA is moving forward in creating a brand-new interest group called Young Leaders. This group is meant to serve as a platform for our millennial generation so that they can share professional interests, build networks, and exchange actionable ideas relevant to them. We are looking for young professionals who are willing to volunteer their time and energy to enhance their leadership skills. At scale, Young Leaders will complement NYSSA’s many other thought leadership committees by contributing unique programming and fresh new ideas. The Young Leaders inaugural event, Peer-to-Peer Learning Series: Venture Capital, will be held in December at WeWork: Charging Bull (25 Broadway, 9th Floor). For further information on how to become a part of Young Leaders, please contact either Atit Amin, Chair ( or Jared Lou, Vice Chair (

Learn From Your Peers – Join us for the first Peer-to-Peer Learning Program!

NYSSA’s Young Leaders Group is dedicated to developing new learning and networking opportunities for finance professionals. Join us for the first of our Peer-to-Peer Learning Programs, a series of events that leverage the professional background and experience of NYSSA members. Participants will gather for informal roundtable discussions concerning specific topics to learn from and share ideas with peer presenters. Our inaugural Peer-to-Peer Program will focus on Venture Capital and will be hosted by Atit Amin, CFA. As an industry insider, he will provide an introduction to the asset class from the perspective of a FinTech VC. Among other topics, Atit will discuss the market landscape, due diligence criteria, investment opportunities as well as jobs within the industry and potential career paths.
