*CFA Candidates must have 1-4 years of work experience. If you have over four years of Acceptable Professional Work Experience and have passed Level III, you should contact email@example.com for assistance applying with CFA Institute to become a CFA charterholder. If you are going through the CFA program currently and already have more than 4+ years professional work experience, please fill the Professional Membership application.
If boxes below do not allow enough room to establish over one year of Acceptable Professional Work Experience please submit this form and also email a recent copy of your CV or bio to firstname.lastname@example.org. For a definition of Acceptable Professional Work Experience you may consult section 1.6.1 of the NYSSA Bylaws.
CFA Candidate membership is designed at NYSSA to provide access and inclusion to individuals at the earlier stages of their investment management careers. It does not include membership in CFA Institute itself, and does not include voting rights. NYSSA is one of the oldest and largest CFA Societies in the world. A bachelor’s degree and at least one year of Acceptable Professional Work Experience (but not more than four years of Acceptable Professional Work Experience) is required.
Those with over four years of Acceptable Professional Work Experience who have not yet passed Level III or those who have passed Level III but have more than one but less than four years of Acceptable Professional Work Experience should apply to NYSSA to become Professional Members.
If you have over four years of Acceptable Professional Work Experience and have passed Level III, you should contact email@example.com for assistance applying with CFA Institute to become a CFA charterholder.
While the CFA candidate membership will provide associated discounts to virtually all the same services as the CFA charterholder membership, certain private and peer to peer events are reserved for CFA charterholders and/or Professional Member with advanced levels of subject matter expertise. NYSSA’s goal is to provide enough access to content and networking that CFA candidate member views and ideas help shape the goals and future success of NYSSA and CFA Institute. We look forward to your participation in the community.
NYSSA expects all attendees to comply with NYSSA’s Code of Conduct while attending NYSSA events or meetings. NYSSA expressly reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to grant or deny access to any individual, or to expel any individual from any NYSSA event or meeting.
If you have any questions, would like to pay by check, or if you need an invoice to submit to your company for payment, please contact the member services department at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (212) 541-4677.
